Catherine M. McCormick, MD, earned a degree in Medical Technology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1973 and received Medical Technologist Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists that same year. She received her medical degree from the LSU Health Sciences Center in 1985 and completed a residency in Internal Medicine. After serving a Hematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship here in 1990, she became Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine, a position which she held until 1992. Since then, Dr. McCormick has worked in private practice. She is a practicing physician for Hematology and Oncology Specialists LLC and the Lallie Kemp Medical Center, and participates in the Cancer Center’s Minority-Based Community Clinical Oncology Program (MB-CCOP).
