KyungWon Huh, PhD KyungWon Huh, PhD, received her BS in Biology from Ewha Women's University, in Seoul, South Korea. She earned masters degrees in Biology from California State University, San Bernardino and in Biomedical Science from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where she received her doctorate in Microbiology and Immunology in 2001. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in 2008, before joining the LSU Health Sciences Center faculty. Her laboratory is investigating the molecular mechanisms and functions of human papillomavirus (HPV) oncoproteins. HPV is a causative agent of cervical cancer, one of the most common cancers affecting women in the world.
