Edward Helm, MD, MHA, is the Chief of Surgical Endoscopy, a Professor of Surgery, and Medical Center Director of Outpatient Surgery at the LSU Health Sciences Center.   He earned his BS in Psychology from Minnesota State University in 1970 and his MD from the Chicago Medical School in 1976. He is the Medical Center Director of Elective Admit Units and of GI, and serves as Associate Dean for Community and Minority Health Education.  He has been a member of the LSU Health Sciences Center since 1981.
