Renee Gardner, MD, earned her MD from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed her residency at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo (SUNY), before serving a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York.  She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine.  She is a Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at LSU Health Sciences Center, as well as a Pediatric Specialist in the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.  Her research interests include the late effects of cancer and treatment, chemoprevention, hematopoiesis, leukemia, lymphoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, and soft tissue sarcomas.
