William Claycomb, PhD, obtained his BS and PhD degrees in Zoology from Indiana University in 1966 and the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1969. From then to 1972, Dr. Claycomb pursued Biological Chemistry as a Research Associate at the Harvard Medical School, where he was a NIH postdoctoral fellow. From 1972 to 1976, he was an Assistant Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Claycomb then joined LSU Health Sciences Center, where he is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular and established investigator of the American Heart Association.
