General Surgery Applicants

Applications for residency positions will only be accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service, http://www.aamc.org/audienceeras.htm).

Deadline for submission of completed applications is November 1.

Complete applications through ERAS should include:

  • Application form
  • Scanned photograph
  • Dean's letter
  • 3 additional letters of recommendation
  • Official Medical School transcripts
  • USMLE scores sent from the NBME
  • Personal statement

All applications are screened by a Review Committee. Interviews are by invitation only and are conducted in November, December and January each year.

Applications for Integrated positions will only be accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service, http://www.aamc.org/audienceeras.htm) and applications for the Independent program are received from the San Francisco Match (www.sfmatch.org). All applications are screeened by a Review Committee and interviews are by invitation only.

Deadline for submission of completed applications is November 1.
