Welcome to the Section on Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism

Welcome to the Section on Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Our section provides a wide range of services which includes patient care, resident supervision, student teaching and both basic and clinical research. Our areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and endocrine abnormalities. Our clinics offer comprehensive diabetes evaluation, osteoporosis screening, and management and treatment of thyroid disorders. Our section represents the LSUHSC component of the combined Joint Program on Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism formed in collaboration with the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. Our research activities as part of the Joint Program have resulted in multiple publications, research contracts, grant awards and scientific presentations at the regional, national and international level.
